Thattu niraya Laddu,
Laddu motham Ettu.
Ettil padhi vittu,
Eduthan meedham kittu.
Meedham ulla laddu,
Muzhudum thangai pattu,
Pottal vayil , pittu.
Kittu nangu Laddu,
Pattu nangu laddu,
Motham therndathu ettu,
Medham kali thatuu.
Round , round , plate,
Full , full of Laddus,
Eigth , eight they were.
Leaving out half of eight,
Kittu took the other half.
The Laddus which remained,
Were broken to pieces, by sister Pattu,
Who put them in her mouth., bit by bit.
Kittu got four Laddus,
Pattu got four Laddus,
Total eight of them were made,
But none now remains in the plate.
