Parasurama the dutiful son

There was a great saint called Jamadagni. His wife was called Renuka. They had four sons and the youngest was Parasurama. Daily Renuka used to go to the river and bring water to Jamadagni so that he can perform his pooja. One day when she went to the river, a king called Kartha Veeryarjuna troubled her. She felt bad and ran back to her house. Since she did not bring water Jamadagni got very angry wand wanted his son Parasurama to kill his mother. As a good son, he did it but started crying. Jamadagni wanted to know why he is crying. Parasurama told him that he wanted his mother back. Jamadagni due to his magical powers brought back Renuka alive
